Botany Beyond Books: An Interactive Student Exhibition
Event Overview
On November 12, 2024, the Botany Department successfully organized an exhibition at 2 PM in the Botany Lab, featuring the collective efforts of students from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years. This exhibition showcased an array of creative models, flex charts, and presentations, all cantered on topics from their syllabus.
Objectives
1. To encourage students to deepen their understanding of botany topics through visual and interactive learning.
2. To develop students’ presentation skills by allowing them to explain complex concepts concisely.
3. To foster teamwork and collaboration across different year groups, promoting a supportive academic environment.
Participants and Contributions
Students Involved:
From every year, student group actively participated, students have selected topics from their curriculum and prepared detailed flex charts or models. Students exhibited notable enthusiasm in explaining their projects, connecting theory with practical understanding.

Faculty members from the Botany Department guided students in selection of their topic, offering support during modal and charts preparations. Their active engagement and feedback on presentation day inspired students to strive for excellence.
Event Highlights
Students presented Total 25 presentations in form of 12 models and 13 flex charts on a wide variety of topics, including plant physiology, genetic studies, environmental botany, and ecological dynamics. The exhibits demonstrated their commitment and ability to apply theoretical knowledge,
transforming the Botany Lab into a hub of discovery and learning.
